Such is life

Bweepeh

Born in Burma, a right of high importance
I am not safe, many dangers, not how life should be
But we get by, my mum and I
Happy on our land, making the best of what we can
Soon time called for change, we had to move from place to place
SPDC was pushing our
I dream of another life, a life with more rights
Thai children have toys, other families have freedom
I want the same rights, as everyone else
But all I need is right here in Karenni,
We just need leadership, courage, a new beginning
Everything seems lost, passed away or destroyed
Sometimes I question who I am, and why is life is so dim
Question after question, again and again,
Sometimes I feel I can’t escape my thoughts within
Where is my place in the human race?
Why do I have to suffer and struggle with doubt?
But despite certain circumstance believe the future holds happiness and faith
Now I understand, I can realise, I can do,
I can think, and I can see, what I want to happen to me
I don’t want to talk about the past anymore,
What has happened has happened, just let it be!
